A Brief History

Our Story

My journey into pelvic health physiotherapy started while I was in Physiotherapy school back in 2010. I was placed at a clinic, where a lady was doing pelvic health.

I had never heard of it. She had me do a research project on pelvic health and I quickly realized, this was an approach that could help me with my pelvic pain, following a surgery. Right then I knew, pelvic health would be my area of focus.

About a year after finishing school, I opened my own multi-disciplinary clinic that I operated for 10 years before selling in 2024. While I experimented with many different ways to bring care to people, I realized that just doing in-person care would never let me reach the amount of people I wanted to help.

So The launch of The Pelvic Health Lady is about expanding my offerings so that  I can serve more people, specifically those with bladder related symptoms. I  continue to offer one-to-one physiotherapy services part-time, while also bringing education, community support and courses into the online space.

Our Mission

My mission is to empower and support, over a million people with bladder related symptoms, such as  leakage, prolapse, overactive bladder, urinary frequency, urgency, bladder pain and discomfort, prostatitis and post-prostatectomy bladder leakage. Our focus is exclusively on bladder health ensuring that our expertise meets the unique needs of those dealing with bladder-related challenges.

I am dedicated to providing specialized, compassionate care and education that helps clients regain control, improve their quality of life and restore confidence in their daily activities.

About Me

  • I became a mom back in 2016 and experienced bladder leakage after giving birth, which I was able to resolve.
  • I was able to return to my high contact martial art, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu 4-5 months after birth, because I knew what I needed to do for my pelvic health. Hard to think about your bladder, when someone is trying to choke you. So I needed to be ready.
  • I am now in my 40’s, and with that, peri-menopause is around the corner. What has changed? I am simply double down on taking care of my body so that I can keep doing all the things I love.
  • When it comes to pelvic health, I practice what I preach.
